Acolad is looking for an Assistant controller for its Dutch branch Livewords, located in Amstelveen
As an Assistant Controller you focus on the commercial controlling aspects of Livewords and underlying subsidiaries, in combination with a number of other commercial reports for the French parent organization.
The activities for your area of focus are:
Consolidation of different reporting during the month-end closing;
Substantiate balance sheet positions and assess age;
Liquidity plans for 12 weeks ahead;
Making various overviews and analyzes for business units;
Creating data models in Excel in order to provide input for business operations;
Elaboration and development of procedures and work instructions;
Optimizing and improving processes;
Quarterly VAT declaration;
Monthly ICP declaration;
Support in various audits.
You also offer support with all kinds of ad hoc questions from the business. That is why a flexible attitude is very important. You know everything about the matter, or you go out to investigate, and you are able to take the helicopter view and come up with reports that really tell how things are going. Here you will have to deal with various complex accounting and reports. There is a strong no-nonsense informal culture and focus and drive to make and keep our financial data up to date, correct and accessible.
The Finance team consists of the Finance manager, Assistant controller, and two Administration employees. Monthly reports are made to the parent company in France, where the CFO Europe operates.
The job profile:
You have at least a completed HBO education (Bachelor degree) in a financial direction;
You have at least 4 years of relevant work experience in a broad financial position;
Experience in an international environment is a plus;
You are analytical, structured and accurate;
You have experience with financial accounting systems, preferably Exact or Workday;
You have good knowledge of Excel;
You have good verbal and written command of the Dutch and English language;
You have a great sense of responsibility;
You have a proactive flexible attitude;
You have good communication skills;
